Donations
Thank you for your donation to the Minnesota Valley Women’s Choir!
Please help us keep track of our donations by including any specific information about your donation in the “notes” when you donate. For example, if you are donating as a memoriam for someone—”this donation is in memory of my friend, Sally Smith— please include their name.
We are currently receiving donations in memory of one of our own, Sara Allan, who passed away on December 18, 2023. We will miss Sarah so much. You can visit her site on Caring Bridge for more information.
The MVWC began in 2011 with over 80 members ranging in age from 17-80. Our mission was to perform quality treble music that centers on a community that sings together, and aims to create a world that affirms the worth and dignity of every person. Over the past 10 years this choir has become not only a choir of excellence, but a strong cohesive group of women who support each other through the ups and downs of their lives.
Several women have been with the choir from the very beginning performing in over 25 concerts. The chorale has performed at 3 ACDA Fall Conferences, and the Northern Voice Festival at the Ordway Theater in St. Paul, and has commissioned several original works by contemporary composers. Purposed with a strong sense of community, the choir sings at retirement homes, and participates in community service projects such as an annual Thanksgiving food shelf collection. We also award scholarships to high school senior treble singers who choose to continue singing beyond high school.
The Minnesota Valley Women's Chorale is a volunteer organization and depends upon the financial support of our audiences and the generous support of our sponsors. We are a tax-exempt 501(c)3 charitable organization governed by an active board of directors. Your tax-deductible donation enables us to purchase music, commission new works, and pay for publicity and rental of facilities for rehearsals and performances.
